OLAP & reporting
Our solutions for OLAP analysis and reporting:
- OLAP Browser (ODBC OLAP Browser) – universal OLAP & reporting solution
for any ODBC data, or directly for Firebird/InterBase.
- LOLAP Browser (Lotus Domino/Notes OLAP Browser) – multi-purpose
program for Lotus Domino/Notes data analysis and reporting. It's been designed
specifically for that middleware platform and there's no analog product.
Lotus data is accessed directly through
Notes client. Queries are built using Lotus Formula
language. While getting Lotus data you can set calculated
fields with Lotus Formula, Pascal and Basic syntax scripts.
It's possible to load data to OLAP cube or report from several
Lotus Domino/Notes databases and multiply records by lotus
list fields. While building queries you can view databases, forms and documents.
Common features
- OLAP Browser and LOLAP Browser are
desktop OLAP solutions. External data is loaded into local memory and subsequent
calculations are being processed locally. It has some benefits and limitations.
Limit for fact table records number is about 2 000 000 on 256 Mb RAM
and 10 000 000 on 1 GB Ram. At the same time those solutions
are easy to implement and support.
- Local and Net versions.
- Several types of data representation for reports
and analyzing:
OLAP cube – multidimensional data analysis
Grid, supporting search, filtering, grouping, sorting,
exporting and printing
Report generator with designer.
It's possible to load data to cube from several external databases
(even from different data formats) into one cube, report or grid. Data
is loaded directly from source on the moment of request, no data importing
and storing is needed.
- OLAP cube is a good tool for data analysis. Using
cross-table and diagrams you get fast and convenient data representation.
It's a fast feature-rich online analytical processing technology which
allows the end-user to efficiently solve the tasks of multidimensional data
analysis. It provides a set of unique statistical functions, including quartiles,
true medians and others, has a unique ability that allows end-user to create
his own measures based on already existing by means of using built-in formula
interpreter. By simple manipulating of dimensions (drag and drop them on
columns or rows) you get calculated measures for given dimensions. For
date-time fields you get extra time-period dimensions: year, quarter, month,
day of the month, day of the week, hour.
- Ability to save and load predefined
OLAP-reports.
- It's possible to save all cube sets and data to local file
to use it in the future without access to data source.
